Talking Setting up an FSE fuel reg, vacuum hose on or off?

I've just fitted a Walbro fuel pump and FSE reg (what a ******* bitch of a job )

I've read on here that the pressure at idle should be 3.2bar. Is this with the vac hose on or off, I coulda sworn I read somewhere that it should be off, but everything I read now doesn't say.

Currently it's a standard map MY99 STi though she's being remapped in about 2 weeks

Cheers for ya help.

IIRC the fuel pressure is 2.5bar. You should set it with the hose off then re-connect otherwise the pressure will have been set too high.

I would wait for confermation on that pressure though, I wouldn't want to be the cause of a blown engine

3.0 bar with the vac hose off is standard, but the mapper may change it.

With the vac line off should be 3bar at warm idle, ie 850 rpm when temp at mid point on temp gauge.

If you've modded the car befored fitting the FSE it maybe worth while, uping pressure to 3.2 at idle, and going for a remap not too soon may protect your engine fromdetting its bollox off and going south with a BIG bill!!!

Cheers guys, I actually found that when I stuck the vac hose on it dropped to about 2.5 bar. Both of which seem to be the 2 pressures I've seen mentioned.

I've got a knock link and a copy of delta dash, so between the 2 it should be easy to check that I'm about right.
