Default Wrapping exhaust bits...

Few questions to those in the know:

- Have you got the "before & after" experience?

- Does it help reduce the in-cabin noise?

- Has anyone wrapped the mid section? Are there any benefits?

- Does the wrap smoke and stink for a long time?

Phew, I think that's it

Thanks!

Sound reduction is minimal IMHO.
Will smoke and smell until it has been toasted a few times.
My D/P, up-pipe and headers are always wrapped.

Any other experiences?

Specifically interested in views on in-cabin noise reduction.

Thanks!

I wrapped my Magnex resonated centre but it didn't make any worthwhile difference. I've had 6 different back boxes to try and get an efficient system with low noise and the only quiet one (apart from standard) was the STi one which looks better than standard but doesn't work much better. However....the Sti one makes the car feel much better after one of the noisy beggars because it feels MUCH smoother and therefore quicker. You pays (or wastes ) your money...

I have a Revolution 3" DP and Revolution 3" System. I wrapped the dp before fitting so don't know if it made much difference but it is a very quiet system as far as aftermarket models go. It "enhances" the flat 4 burble without being overly intrusive. It was loudish for the first few days after fitting but quitened down after that.

Don't think there is big difference regarding noise reduction in mine and is (except the back box) full wrapped Scoobysport kit.
I also tried three differents back boxes and now I have a STI one - quite enough - but have lost about 8-10 ps compared with the Scoobysport/Janspeed back box dynoed with Deltadash.

What backboxes did you try guys?

I've got a SSport. Considering changing it to WRSport.

Any experiences?

Thanks!

Better regarding gains the SS, less noisy the WRsport...
