Default OEM airbox

im wanting to take my K&N induction kit off and replace with something a bit more maf friendly was thinking of putting the OEM airbox backon or go with some type of aftermarket airbox but the car has a couple of mods so im unsure of how it is putting an OEM airbox back on for the performance , will the car be able to get enuf air in with the oem

Steve,

Mine made 351bhp with the OEM airbox and JR Panel filter.

Could be a restriction with your planned set-up.

Cheers

Steve,

The OEM airbox had to go when the FMIC was fitted.

i think if you have the oem airbox but with a better panel filter[k+n panel]not the maff killing oiled type!
and remove the air intake silencer/snorkel in the inner wing it would be freer to breath.
