AP Racing / Exedy / OEM Clutch Plates
Has anyone had any experience of Exedy organic clutches?
I have done a search on here for the info, but not really found anything of use.
I am condsidering getting the full organic clutch kit from Exedy after AP Racing let me down by supplying me with another clutch plate rather than the cover I ordered - and then wanted £305 rather than the £141 they quoted to supply the correct item!
Is the AP Racing product worth the extra £200 over the Exedy version?
Do I really need a 'performance' pressure plate anyway as I own a standard UK turbo with full de-cat and K&N (240-250BHP?) and at the moment don't intend boosting the power further? I can get a standard copy cover for £70+VAT.
Thanks in advance.
p.s. I may have a sligtly used AP Racing organic clutch plate up for sale depending on the outcome of this!

Exedy organic clutch and plate is almost same with the uprated STI organic set as they produce the parts for STI (actualy Daikin that is same company with Exedy) so I guess it's a very good choice anyway.
IMVHO change both along with release bearing if you have the money.

Exedy is THE brand in Japan, all OE clutches in Japan are made by Daikin of which Exedy is a subsidiary. If you look at an AP racing organic, the parts are marked Exedy in places !!
We stock and supply the Exedy version and have sold many, many, to lots of happy customers who appreciate the £300 price tag for a very similar to AP item that works just as well. Cover, disc and bearing are all included for the £300 plus VAT.
Doesn't seem a hard decision to take.
