Quickshifts, benefit or bad news?
In terms of gearbox lifespan, are quick shifts a good idea??
ive been playing with the idea of getting one for a while now. The car is being mapped to near the safe usable limit of my gearbox (uk 5 speed) so was wondering if it was wise to fit one at the same time??
Cheers,
Neil.

I got the Prodrive one for my MY02 Bugeye, AFAIK makes no diffrenece to the life of the box but much nicer
Be warned that it takes a lot more grunt to change (force X distance ect) .... just have live with the fact that the left arm looks like Arnie
Never looked back

q shift
a quickshift will speed up the deterioration of gear teeth if the synchros are not as good as they should be..ie.. if the box "grinds" when selecting a gear. aside from that ....get one. Of all the cars ive driven with quickshift kits fitted, the nicest ive felt has been on the impreza.
