Default Clutch or Gearbox on the way out??

I was driving to work today, I felt a vibration through the peddle when depressing the clutch to change gear. I also tried depressing the clutch(about a 1/4 of the way down) whilst driving along normally but not actually changing gear, the vibration was constant.

Does this sound like any of the above or am I just worrying again??

clutch cover in contact with bearing??wouldnt have thought it was the slave cylinder sticking but worth a check first, and makes sure the springs still there.........Normally the fingers on the clutch cover are bent caused by wear or heat you carnt tell till you pull it out unfortunetely

Yep, thats the model. Cheers mate.

I will check tommorow to make sure the spring is still there or in good condition. I seem to remember the spring going awol this time last year, I hope it is that, as it's a simple problem to sort and I have a spare.

I'm still open to suggestions or ideas, thanks so far lads.

Checked the other day, the spring is still there.

I think though that it has 'gone away' for now. Was out yesterday and all was normal comming home from work, I could'nt feel any vibration. I was distracted though as I had a bit of overboost(in 4th gear) comming onto the motorway. Put it down to the colder weather. A few miles down, the knocklink lit up to red after hitting peak boost, so backed off straight away and drove all the way home off boost.

It's never done that before, so after doing a search on Maf sensors, for symtons of it failing, I would say mine's on the way out or already is.

Will be ordering a new one Monday.
