Question Warranty Void??

Hello

Can anyone tell me if my warranty will be void if I fit an aftermarket back box to my MY02 WRX? Am I restricted to the WR Sport box?

Also, is the WR Sport spring kit worth fitting?

Thanks in advance.

Wink

I just had this issue wwith the Extended Subaru warrantee - which is basically an insurance company.

If it 'Meets or Exceeds the Manufacturers Specification' then you should be fine.

I just had a big end bearing go, and I tried to claim off warrantee for my totally modified, remapped car.

First of all they rejected the claim and said the vehicle was modified. I said yes, but with racing parts that all meet or exceed the manufacturers specifications. This caused some head scratching, and they duly dispatched an engineer for a report.

They finally came back and said that as my car didnt have a catalytic convertor, it didnt meet the emission specifications!

Seems to depend on the dealer in question, generally most seem to be okay about BB changes as long as you don't start playing with the cats. The spring pack makes a nice difference, well it did to my '03STi, the car doesn't feel as wallowy and has got rid of that bouncy feeling on the M-way.

Thanks John. Thats what I was hoping to hear on both counts!

I really fancy an Afterburner Vortex or a Ninja rather than the WR Sport box. I'll have to run it past my local dealer.
