I'm toying with the idea of changing my exhaust (or at least parts of it).

As I understand it the Blitz Nur Spec is just a backbox and the Nur Spec R is the backbox and two centres i.e from downpipe back. Is this correct?

If so, I need to know if the Nur Spec back box will fit my old scoobysport (H&S) centre and if not whether the Nur Spec R system will fit my scoobysport (H&S) downpipe. Hope this makes sense.

Car is a 2001 WRX bugeye by the way.

Any help/advice much appreciated.

The Blitz Nur Spec R back box is avalible with a down sized flange (3" to 2.5") to fit the O.E/after market 2.5" centre section.

My Blitz Nur Spec R system came with a 3" bore Down pipe that is down sized to 2.5" at the flange that joins the stright through centre section (allows the original catted centre section to be replaced come MOT day) then goes back up to 3" at the back box flange...

Not sure what size the centre is, only that it's an Hayward & Scott (scoobysport) jobbie. Anyone know what size these are? I assume, same as OEM centre as you can replace the centre and leave the OEM backbox on.

a blitz nur spec bb only has a 2 and a half inch flange to fit any 2 and a half flange centre section which is standard , , ,

the nur spec R is 2 and half inch flange for the down-pipe but then its 3 inch all the way , , so,the bb off a nur spec R will NOT fit a standard 2 and half inch centre . .

which is my problem come MOT time,,i either put dp back on or find a bb to fit my cat centre . .

So what I need to find out is how big is my H&S centre (hopefully 2.5 inch so I can just buy the backbox )

Anybody know the diameter of a H&S (Scoobysport) centre?

chris i,ve been told your middle section is two and a half inchs so blitz back box will fit. if you are still not sure try a standard back box then you will know for sure

I've sent an e-mail to Hayward & Scott to find out for sure (hopefully). I've got a standard STi8 back box so will see if that fits.

I think it will depend on whether or not the flange size on the H&S centre will match up with the Blitz one.

Will let you know how I get on.
