Default Misfire

Hi,

Can anyone please help with the following, my car (MY93) has developed a misfire, it is fine when started from cold but as soon as it starts to warm up the misfiring starts, its like that until it has reached normal themp, then it runs fine, it has new plugs, coil packs and maf.

Sounds like you have much the same problem as me.

If you have a test meter, then the water temp sensor should read 370 ohms +/- 2 ohm. Its on the cross pipe that under the throttle body, the connector is a rusty coloured plastic. Follow the top rad hose back tot the block and you can't miss it.

When was your coolant last changed??

And I hope to god you haven't go the same problem as me (£600 and counting). Is the engine rocking from side to side when its running??

Cheers mate, will check it when i get a chance, coolant was changed a few months ago and no the engine is ok when running, what problem have you had?

The engine is also rocking from side to side. Just pulled the Idle control valve connector off and the revs shot up to 1250 rpm. The ECU is pulling the revs down.
