Smile Uprate a R160 to a R180 poss. or not

I have 4.44 R160 with a LSD which I use for sprinting, can I drop a R180 straight in and would it be possible to find one with the same ratio. Car in question is a My97 Type RA.

Thanks in advance

not possible to swap straight in.

needs custom drivehshafts or R180 compatible driveshafts. For 180 driveshafts you need r180 hubs which means you need 2 pot rear brakes instead of sliding calipers.

In short, it isn't an easy job!

Custom driveshafts would probably be easier and cheaper.

Ratio isn't a problem, most classic R180s are 4.44. I have a crown wheel and pinion for an R180 in my garage!
