Strange this !! i have a MY99 will full de-cat and i get around 27 - 30 mpg, this involves a lot of motorway work.

Filled up this morning and it took 52.5 ltrs @ 324 miles.

324 miles on a single tank have you got a problem with your right foot? or maybe your gas pedal?
i'm happy if i get 200 miles from a tank

Uk gearbox helps..

I can get 320miles from a tank taking it easy on a uk box, with Walbro pump, 550injectors, Link, fmic and running 1.3bar on a TD05..

can go down to less than 200 if I push it the whole time though

Over 36,000 miles, my MY99 (downpipe de-cat, but centre section still in place) averaged 16.7mpg,this was split between a shortish daily commute (mostly crawlingish speeds) and the rest fun, but no trackdays.

Decided to work it out one day as all my petrol receipts had been kept.

Combined with a new short block, gearbox, clutch, 3 MAFs, minor mods, springs, hubs, discs, turbo, front pads (every service), 32 tyres etc etc... it cost me 26,500 quid to run over the 2 years, Always wished I'd never worked that one out

Nothing was under warranty, as bought the car ex-fleet, cheapish, at 2 yrs old with 60k miles and thought I'd be a smart **** and not bother extending the warranty

No mate just a balance between long distance commute and "spirited" weekend driving.
Don't have to drive flat all the time
