Default H & S exhaust anyone?

i'm considering various exhausts and i'd like to know more about the H & S..........

how loud are they in comparison to the vortex and the firestorm?

do you get any droning on the motorway with the H & S?

where can i get one (i'm in yorkshire) & how much does it cost for the BB & centre pipe?

anything else i should know?

I mine. I guess its quieter than some, still worth opening the windows in tunnels for I did 750 miles last week and it doesn't get wearing on the M-ways. Very shiny though.

don't H+S make the vortex for scoobyworld?

I do know that they will make an exhaust as loud or as quiet as you like!

Very good workmanship too! I believe they even sell there own take on the vortex

H&S are superb, excellent customer service!

Had one fitted recently to our MY99 B4, took a couple of weeks to bed in but after that...smiles all round!!! Nice burble when warm, not droning at all on long journeys....2 months on we still drive around with the rear windows open!!!

And yeah they can make them as loud or as quiet as you want...If you're concerned about the noise speak to them and go with their recomendations they got it spot on for us!!!

changed from a blitz nur spec r to an afterburner de-cat centre with H+S back box,the 4" tail-pipe,which iirc is the loud 1 . . certainly loud on full chat, even louder than the blitz but where the blitz was droney(is that a word) on motorway the H+S isn't ;-)

What about a price for making an up-pipe similar to the one in the following picture - above the downpipe and below the headers (i know you can't give a firm price - but a rough price would help - then I will know how many pennies to save - thanks to whoevers picture I have stolen!!)

My H&S used to get on my nerves droning when I first fitted it and considered removing the decat centre that i installed at the same time. I think it needs time to "bed in" so to speak - it's not half as bad as it used to be and I love it - fine on motorways - in fact I keep thinking about getting something louder although when the GF borrows it I can hear coming from miles away...

one of my fapping posts has disappeared - there was a post saying I don't have the original pipe, so what would a price be for making the pipe without the original to pattern.

So - without the original pipe, how much would it be to make one up!

Would we have to remove the standard up pipe ????? if so that's approx £150 on its own.

Ian;

Not too sure on what will be needed, I am happy to fit the parts myself (or rather, my old man is), I just need the part to connect the headers shown in the picture to the turbo. Have no idea if it is the same angle as the standard up-pipe, or even the same length with a 90deg bend to connect to the headers - dunno if you can ascertain this from seeing the headers or not?

Would it be worth me putting on the headers, and measuring the gap/angle between the standard up-pipe?

Cheers for your input!

fair play to the exhausts guys!

I have H&S decat and its the nuts, not droney at all (unlike my first BB - used to give me a headache by the time I got too work!)
cant justify a new BB before Xmas, but a nice gesture from them I would say
