Default PISTON SURFACE SHAPE

Hello,

I'm rebuilding an STi 03 engine in Greece capable for running 450+BHP, and after having problem finding bolt on forged pistons with the same shape and keeping compression ratio arround 8:1, i'm planning to use the JE forged pistons but with the WRX shape.
The question i have is, that even if i succeed to achieve the 8:1 compression ratio with gaskets etc, will the totally different shape of piston work with the VVT and the STi heads?
Or will i have problem with the combustion chamber shape?

Cheers

Christos

Where are you all the engine experts?? :-)
No ideas at all?

I have calculated also the compression ratio, using the WRX std forged Pistons with the STi heads and 0,9mm gasket.
Arround 7,9:1 was the result.

Has anybody tried this and can confirm it?

Thanks in advance,

Christos
