Why won't car start???
I had been on a journey of about 25 miles and stopped at the top of my road to talk to a friend, then when I went to start the car and drive off it wouldn't fire just kept turning over, and of course with trying to start it the batteries now flat. Also the battery had been goin flat if I didn't use the car for a couple of days but charged and the started ok i was getting a new battery this weekend anyway. Forgot to mention it's a vers 5 type R.
Any ideas greatly appreciated

Might be worthwhile checking your ECU for any faults

as Ray says - its just behind the alternator belt (under the alternator) and is a brown unit with 2 wires connected, and is held in with a 10mm bolt.
Undo the bolt and the unit pulls out (don't worry no oil etc in the hole) clean with a dry cloth then reinsert and retighten bolt.
If the wires are in the way disconnect the plug first - just remember to reconnect.
