Default FULL DECAT HELP

From what i have read this is the way to go standard my98 uk turbo 52000
Full decat but there are so many, from research i fancy scoobyworld ninja back box and res centre but not sure if i should go with same downpipe or go with scoobysport any ideas is there lots of difference in performance between various full decats or are they all about the same?

I am told it will make alot of difference to my car 30bhp ish but again will it matter which one i use? Dont want it to loud

Help please ready to buy now also lagging the downpipe ????

What about lean run etc comments please

Thanks John

hi john

had a 3" straight through mongoose fitted to my '97 uk spec. it does improve performance and isn't to noisy, still gives off a nice burble noise though.

wrap is a great idea, wish i had thought of it before i put mine in the garage!

on the down side now.. mine needed to go back to the garage to be fitted with a fuel cut-off defencer (£100 fitted). worth getting a new mot before fitting if you removing both cats too!

hope this helps?

hi mate,
i had the magnex b/box and straight through centre pipe, fitted the magnex twin dump downpipe.it is abit louder, deeper you can really hear the flat four rumble. you can also now hear the turbo spooling up-which i like. pulls better and gives the car that bit more oomph! and occasionally i get popping.

MY99 magnex twin dump d/p, TSL straight through centre and TSL group N back box with 4" out.
Pulls alot stronger, spools up quicker, sounds fantastic, pops and bangs on lift off.
Benefits as above, negatives - MOT ( or finding a friendly mot station).

Think someone has a TSL group A down pipe posted in the for sale section at the moment
