I have 03WRX fitted with full scoobysport exhaust and triple decat. Straight after the decat I had business in the UK so took my ECU with me for a ecutek reflash (tek2), done at PE. I told them to do the cel delete because I had decatted the car. Have been driving the car for a year now, piled on more than 25 000 km and suddenly yesterday the cel light came on the dash. Its the first time this has ever happened and I am confused. Does anyone have any idea what could be the reason for that?

Could be any no of reasons the light will come on.Get the car scanned and that will give you the awnser JASON

Exactly, you may have other problems not related with the decated exhaust so be cautious about the CEL!

Plug in the Subaru Slect Monitor and check to see what code is, otherwise we can only do assumptions!
You can connect yourself the two green connectors under your steering columns and turn the key to see again the fault code, search on www.scoobymods.com and you'll find the method.

Andy - I sincerely hope that was a cut and paste, and not manually typed off the top of your head!

At least with the bugeyes, I understand it's not that uncommon to fry the EGT sensor in the up-pipe (giving an 0545 or 0546), and in some cases get the slow rear O2 sensor response (0139). But as you can see, it could be one of many others

got in the car this morning, started it and the light went out?! maybe it was just the lambdas getting confused or something. Could it be the outside temp.? this week has been particularly cold with temp. dropping below -20C.

Light came back on and I had to visit my local Subaru dealer, they deleted the Cel and showed me the computer which had pulled out two error codes:

p1312 and p0546

From the list above both seem to be exhaust gas temperature related. Has anyone got any idea what is that supposed to mean. Has the temperature sensor in the uppipe fried? pls help

Certainly sounds like it. IIRC you can sort that out by unplugging it and putting a 2.2KOhm resistor across the two terminals of the plug. (Or is it 22KOhm? - do a search!)
