Sorry to say a broken belt on a Subaru usually bends all the exhaust valves - sometimes all valves take a ding.

If the cars done many miles it'll be worth bringing forward a brush up to the insides as the motor really ought to come out to do the valve job and once out.....

Good luck - I hope your luck is in. If you haven't bent any valves please pm me with your lottery numbers...........

Well you guys will not beleive what im about to tell you but the cambelt is fine!!

I had the garage examine the car and the belt is on the car nice and tight, however the radiator has split and the water is pissing it out the side of the head gasket at the bottom!!

Now the car stopped by itself and this is not a good sign as it may have heated up so much that it cut out or it may be the case that when the water started to leak out the gasket it lost compression and cut out??

i have the garage taking it to peices but i want to ask you guys what you think the damage will be?? i mean one chap was talking about damaged piston rings
The garage thinks i will be able to get away with just doing the head gasket on the car??...please at this time any advise will be very welcome, thanks ohh
