Exclamation OIL OVERFILLED

Hi folks, just checked the oil on my STi2 after a recent service to find that it is topped up to the small notch ABOVE the full mark (when cold). It has always been filled to slightly below the full mark before, so i am quite worried about this, as i have done a fair few miles in it since the service. I will have the problem rictified on Monday, but what i was wondering is what damage may have been done to the engine because of this? Everything seems OK now but...

Thanks in advance for any help, cheers, Dodge...

Drain the excess out quick before it gets up the capillary pipes for the turbo boost control which will give you a CEL and major misfires at 4000 RPm ish.

You may be one of the lucky ones and be able to clean the oil out if it gets as far as the solenoid - if not there goes 100 quid or thereabouts for a new turbo boost solenoid - plus a few days grief

Unhappy

...me too Mike, that's why i'm worried about it. Does anyone know if there is an easy way to drain only the excess oil, or must i drain the whole system and refill?

Excuse my ignorance, cheers again, Dodge...
