Default Oil change

Going to be doing this myself at the weekend, is there anything I should know? any little quirks? or just drain, new filter and fill again?
Have read all the threads relating to which oil to use.

Thanks Paul

/ be very careful not to overfill with oil because if you do you will clog up the wast gate solenoid -if u do this the turbo will sharply cut in and out under acceleration. a local garage overfiled mine once when they filled it to the wrong notch on the dipstick!
