Default Change Dump valve or leave it alone!

Just wondered do I leave my OE dump valve on (STI ) 02 Plate, or do I get a new one. Dont really want the noise so would a recirculating type be best? Not sure as it is my first scooby. Cheers Ade

If its working and you dont want a noise, leave it on.

The only reason to change the dumpvalve is if you want the noise of a VTA one. Otherwise leave well alone, the OEM one does a very good job. If you search you will find many cons of VTA valves, over fuelling, bore wash etc.

The only other possible reason to change is if you wanted to run very high boost, the standard one has been know to leak at high pressures, but not at the boost levels a standard STI runs.
