Have heard the manifold isnt as good at dsiplacing heat when its smooth/polished. Suppose there is some truth in that but wether or not it will make much noticable difference to the performance i cannot answer.

Is this called 'bling'?
Assuming it is for a show car and not performance related, just have it done, will cost a lot though.
Any good plating shop will dress/polish the alloy manifold, but best get it clear anodised to prevent the instant corrosion that takes place with alloy.
IMHO a waste of good time and $$$, but I used to build/drive American style Street Rods, so I can understand to a degree where you are going.(but on an Impreza in the UK?)
Graham.

Is that garish too???
I've got to agree about the intercooler though. I'm a bit fed up with it now & I know it's time for a FMIC transplant before a re-map![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
