Question 6MT driveshafts on MY98? (Have 6MT gearbox)

My 1998 Impreza GT needs new front driveshafts.

I've found a set of secondhand 6MT driveshafts in Norway, I asked API Engines about this and they recon I need new front hubs as well?

Can I use 6MT driveshafts without modifications?
If not, what companies in the Uk deliver secondhand 5MT driveshafts (international shipping)?

I have a 6MT conversion, the front suretrac diff quickly wore out the CV-joints (150.000 km and hard trackday usage, so I'm not surprised).

Any advice appreciated, my car has been in the garage for 2 weeks now

6 speeds shafts are a direct swap in your front hubs.. In the same way your original 5 speed shafts fitted the 6MT trans.

Only thing to watch for, is there are some variations in driveshaft oil seal diameter on 6MT transmissions. I dont know the variations or model codes/years. I just know there are variations, as Ive had to change seals on some 5MT to 6MT swaps when re-using 5sp shatfs.

I've already ordered 5MT shafts from Grade A Subaru now, but thanks anyway.
