When does diff go?
Hi y'all,
I'm off to check out a 60,000 mile W reg 2000 turbo hatch tomorrow, and have already been told by the owner that one of the diffs broke and has been replaced by main dealer.
Apparantly has main dealer fsh etc, and everything else checks out fine on paper. The subaru dealer hadn't seen it before at a young age/mileage, prob a one off.
Just wondering how likely this is, or whether I should be more suspicious when I view the car tomorrow?
Cheers!

Sounds like one of those fluke things, i've not heard of a diff breaking on a even a sensibly modified car, let alone a near standard one..... so long as it makes no funny noises, ignore it.....

Thanks!
As it turns out, that was the last of my worries!
Really good to drive, but the outsidw looked like it'd been polished by a brillo pad, and the inside looked like a load of children had been let loose with a cutlery set......some people just don't know how to look after these things!
Anyway - saw a different one this arvo, and it's mint with 54k on a T reg.
So I'm a happy bunny, picking it up tomorrow (insurance also slightly cheaper with it being a little older).
Pukka!
