Help with squeaky clutch.
Car - MY00 Turbo (std), new clutch 18months ago (10k miles since).
I've been away on holiday for 3 weeks so car left standing in the garage.
The clutch has now got a squeak when you depress fully to the floor, when you let pdal back up slowly there is a rubber or plastic (ie not metallic) squeak, it sounds like its comming from the engine bay rather than the pedal mechanism (but I have WD40'd that just to be sure).
Question is - is there anything I can lubricate under the bonnet ? have squirted what I can see (under the intercooler) but the lever then goes down into the housing with a rubber gaiter over it. Is the squeak likely to be in there or on the out side. ????
Any help appreciated, a diagram would be good so I can see what components are involved with the cluch operation.
Thanks
Ian..

Yes,
The squeak will be coming from the clutch slave cylinder, which as you say has a rubber gaiter over it under the intercooler.
Get a syringe with a little hydrolic fluid in it, pull back the rubber gaiter at the top, and squirt it in. - don't put too much in
The squeak may go after afew clutch presses, but for some reason last time I did this, it took a couple of days to go. It typically lasts for a year or two.
