RA box into WRX?

Default RA box into WRX?

Will a type RA gbox go straight into a WRX? both cars are my94 so just wondered if its a straight forward swap or will i need to change other parts such as diffs?

You'll need to change the diff to I think. Not sure about the other bits.

You'll need to know whether the RA box has a 3.9 or a 4.1 final drive ratio. If it matches what you have now then it'll go straight in.

If you have any doubt mail me the the TY752 ????? numbers off both boxes and l'll tell you.

Hi david,

found a sti gearbox on ebay, and want to put it into my WRX. The number on the sti box is TY752VBCAA, not sure what mine is. But its a 94 import wagon.

could you let me know if it would fit straight in, and if not how to go about changing the diff to suit?

Hi saxito thanks for the link,

just checked and my diff is a 4.111. so would the 4.444 g/box fit or do i need a new diff to match?

you will need to match the diff to the box-4.111 box with 4.111 diff etc...
