Fuel type mapping with Link
#1
Quick question about the good ole Link setup:
I take it the Link ECU is mapped for a certain RON of fuel (?) If this is the case what problems would arise if it was mapped for SUL but then run on NUL for a while (i.e. if you couldn't find a garage selling SUL etc)? Likewise what about being mapped for NUL or SUL and run on Optimax?
Cheers

Basically you stick to the octane level the ecu was mapped for, if you need to use nul then you should put booster in with it. If the car is mapped for sul and you have to use nul then drive like a granny and DON'T use boost until you can either add booster or re-fill with sul. A couple of bottles of booster will fit in the recess housing the jack, out of the way until needed.
