Default What exhaust???

I'm looking at buying a new back box for my 97 type R. Can't seem to decide what one to go for as I'm new to the Scooby game . Been looking at the ninja and the afterburner ones. Any suggestions?

Hayward and Scott Jap Spec!!! Trust me, youll love it. Has a fantastic burble when sitting there, and when putting pressure on the smiley peddle it really lets you know its there! When cruising at motorway speed it isnt really in your face.

What are you after from your exhaust mate? (ie loud/quiet, what are your output targets etc...)
Anything below 350bhp you don't really need to go for a 3" system, a 2.5" will do (ie Magnex)

A NUR specR is one of the loudest exhausts out there, I couldn't live with it. Others love it...

The 3" Revolution system is fairly quiet, without compromising performance and not too expensive either.

H&S are also v.good and can make you a custom one as well.

Budget?

If you let us know a few more details, then people will be able to assist better.

The Revolution system is one of the cheapest 3" sytems available today, but
without comprimising quality.

They also have proven performance gains, some of the top tuners highly reccomend them.

I'm not after anything that load to be honest. At the moment I'm just gunna change the backbox as I'm a bit skint from buying the car. The rest of the exhaust is standard. Any idea of how much of a difference just changing the backbox will make to the sound? Don't really want to spend more than around £280 for the rear box. If I change the rest of the system from the turbo down will this make much of a difference? Cheers for your help.

If you want quality for money, go for a NINJA backbox!

Sorry to hijack...but i have a Ninja for sale that would fit.. £130 delivered.

I've tried several over the years, my favourite was the Nur Spec R, Magnex oval was a nice subtle sound, same with the H&S/scoobysport one.

And of course the Ninja, which i loved.
