Ecotek valve?
#1
Ecotek claim increased smoothness, increased power and better economy from their CB-26P £48.99 valve that you stick in the brake servo vacuum feed just outside the intake manifold (or in the Scooby case on the dump valve outlet).
Sounds too good to be true so it probably is!
Their site is at http://www.ecotekplc.com and they have testimonials from Revs, Stroot Machine, Club GTI and Redline magazines.
They also have a Subaru Impreza Turbo fitting page with quotes from Scoobynet members http://www.ecotekplc.com/subaruImp.htm
Can anyone confirm that this works?

There has been a lot of discussion on here about the Ecotec valve. It would be worth your while doing a search. I fitted mine early January, after a group buy. Try looking back to December (If it`ll go back that far!)
Personally I found no real difference in performance (the valve closes when on boost) or smoothness and only a very small consumption benefit.

I found a couple of threads but was wondering if anyone else had something new to add. The general feeling seems to be that the effects are marginal at best with some possible down side to engine braking.
Just trying to see if anyone has any new experiences.

Done about 10000 miles with mine fitted and average 26 mpg. Has been up to 28mpg over the last couple of fill ups - maybe the colder weather or not using the air-con so much. Only downside is a small amount of noise at low speeds.
