As above, any recommendations welcome as my local dealer doesn't really know much & asked me to call Prodrive.I've got a MY 97 & I bought the ECU second hand.
Also is it true you need to bring all your keys with you?
The previous owner has been very helpful but he lives in Scotland!
Cheers,John

Do it yourself mate...it's a 5 min job.
It's located under the passenger kickplate, a few bolts and nuts and it's out, in with the new one reattach various bolts, keep the leftovers in the glove compartment.
If you're not up to it, Scoobysport in Basildon surely wouldn't have a problem sorting it for you.

S.A.M --I went to SS & Pete couldn't get it working --He very kindly didn't charge me BTW.He suggested maybe because it's a 98 PPP & my car is '97 as others he has bolted in & they work first time. But the previous owner said the same thing happened to him at first. He had to take it to a Subaru dealer with all his spare keys & they sorted it somehow.--John

Aaahh....sounds as if the keys needs to be "coded" to work with the ECU...strange that Pete couldn't help you with it.
Find another official dealer that will help you...
Anyone else with some good ideas?

Try Barretts of Canterbury (Subaru Dealers), and ask to speak to Phil Venn, in the Motorsport Department.
He should be able to sort u out (sorry Phil for stiching you up, if your reading this).
