I have a MY93 WRX RA,is it possible to fit a ecu from a later RA that had more bhp.ie the 260 or 280 bhp versions?

no, the loom will not plug into a later ecu, and on top of that the benefits will not necessarily show themselves as some come from different cam profiles from engines which also have a higher redline.

Ski,

I have it on good authority that you can fit an ECU from cars up to the facelifted models (MY97). The 95/96 WRX's had 260bhp, while the same vintage STI's had 276bhp.
These i'm told will plug straight in and give more grunt.

Anybody know different?
