Default Changing Gear Oil - help

i own a 2001 sti Jap spec. Want to change the gear oil and front diff oil, Are there one or two holes for filling and draining and how much oil will it take. Also, doing rear diff and can you use same oil for rear diff.

does anyone know how I could get a repair manual book or disc for my particular car.

Help much appreciated.

Tks

On the 6-speed box there are two drain plugs. The easy one is under the front diff. The other one is at the base of the small sump under the gearbox. You will need to remove the plastic undertray below the gearbox to access this (NOT the large tray under the engine) Re-fill is done through the gearbox dipstick tube. Ideally you'll need a length of tubing to do this. The 6-speed box takes 4.1 litres, the rear diff 0.8 litres Oil grade is the same for both items-75w/90 although as your car is Jap spec. you need to check wether you need LS spec. oil?
