Anyone know how to do a MY01 ECU reset, much like connecting the 2 plugs (green and black) under the steering column of the pre-MY01 cars and then drving around till the "check engine" light blinks the steady all-clear?
Is there such a function on the newer cars?
Tks.

I believe the advanced engine management of the MY01s don't require a reset as the advance and retard timing etc almost in real time, not days/weeks in the case of My00s & earlier & weeks/months in the case of My97s & earlier.

God am I a expert in EOBD 2. (i.e read pain in the a___ system.) Anyhow no external reset available, the system needs accessing with OBD software via the plug under the steering column and the fault codes clearing.
Thers is no manual method of accessing the codes or clearing them, Alex Pepper www.obd-2.com
sells software / hardware to clear codes.
The system will reset after 40 cycles if the fault clears.
The most common fault code 420 cat failure on modded exhausts.
