re-map due to de-cat

could anyone tell me whether i need to re-map my ECU if i de-cat my exhaust?

what ecu do you have?

you shouldn't *need* to, but if you're using a mapped ecu (e.g link) it would give more benefits if you remap it after decatting.

with the standard ecu, it might run a bit leaner, but should cope alright.

for an earlier car with the standard ecu, an ecu reset might help too.

i'm running on the standard p1 ecu.

Tim, you cannot re-map the standard P1 ecu. It might be worth taking it to your local dealer and getting them to reset the ecu.
