Post Subaru Clutch Peddle

Just been to get my clutch sorted out again.. & i told the garage that my clutch peddle was just way to high !!!

He was telling me that its a Hydrulics clutch peddle
( i didnt even know they even made them on a UK Classic Impreza 2000 on a R reg )

Was he telling the truth or was he trying 2 get away from sorting the problem out ?

See the thing is the foot peddle's way to HIGH i mean ive had afew Subaru's in my time but never this high when i got it changed after a new clutch!

I tho there is a cable which you can tighten up the level for the peddle...

so which one is it guys ???

My cluth is deffo hydraulic. Have a look at the left handside of your IC, on the bulkhead. There will be a thing that looks like a cylinder containing fluid. This is the clutch fluid resivoir.

The height of the clutch pedal IS adjustable. If you care to look in the footwell at the pedal assembly you will see that the pushrod is threaded and the pedal arm position on that rod can be adjusted by the locknuts.

don't need pictures FFS.
Put your head under the dash and look at the clutch pedal arm.
Pretty obvious what needs adjusting.

Just make sure you leave a bit of freeplay in the pedal.
