Are impreza-dccd-yaw sensors a big thing?

I have understood that the 2005 sti has an active center differential with yaw-sensors.
What I would like to know is if this means a big difference in lap-time when on the track? Or is the effect of this neglect able?
Ps. What I am trying to figure out is if I should upgrade to a 2005 sti dccd tranny or go for a sti-ra dccd tranny with PPG-gears in stead. What I am after is increased performance on a handling-course/autocross/track.

It won't make a massive difference, but it will be a little quicker with an active DCCD. You can also get a controller for a standard DCCD that makes it active. Another option.
I've seen the tests that 'Best Motoring' (Japanese motoring dvd) do and when they test the latest STi's round auto test type courses the auto setting on the DCCD is usually fastest but only by a few hundredths or tenths of seconds.

I was just so impressed with the Top Gear review of the "Prodrive P2" with active diffs, and I thought that the impreza sti had the same system. But there are probably a quite different active map on the P2 than on the "daily driver" impreza STI...
