how hard can it be???!!!
when I bought the car I found the cable lying loose in the engine bay
..now I know why!...there's no where to plug it into!!!
the cable only reaches down to just below turbo level, so its pretty limiting on where its gonna stretch to
oh and theres a threaded hole on the top side of hte gearbox (kinda below the transmission tunnel) which has nothing in it <see pic>......any ideas? (and no, the speedo WONT stretch that far!
)

There should be a connection for it on the right hand side of the gearbox, the connection fits into the tube which goes into the gearbox itself. about 4 or 5 inches behind the bell housing
Hope this helps

I think the threaded hole is where the speedo cable tube should fit into - it would stick out about 3 inches from the top of the 'box allowing you to join the speedo cable that you have to it.
from the pic the joining section isn't there...
Trying to find a pic to show better
Cheers
