Default Retrofit DCCD 5 speed

Will such 5 speed gearbox (with DCCD) fit my Classic ?
I have ABS and always tought those two cannot work together.

If it's possible, what is needed for the swap (gearbox, controllers....) ???

Subaru couldnt make ABS and DCCD work in Classics; it managed to work it out in the New Age DCCD-A cars though.....

Thanks, but that car has no ABS (as you can see in his pics of the watertank, on the location where my ABS unit sits).
I think it's rather impossible to wire in a DCCD gearbox with a ABS equipped car...

You would need to disconnect the ABS, to wire in the DCCD

My ABS still works on my UK Wagon, with the DCCD fitted.

Let's get it right!
I install my dccd tomorrow!
I was thinking of simply pulling the fuse on the ALB system, but seems Steven's is ok.

It has never worked anyway on my car!

Graham.

ps: Above links to RA do not work.
Edit: Yes they do!

Question

Only theoretical issue could be when running fully locked (rare I know) - lock one wheel and ABS would release the brakes on all the wheels?

v old thread! Steven's wagon dccd was later fitted to my P1 (where the ABS continued to work) a couple of years ago and that has since been replaced by a 6 speed dccd from an 04 Spec C.

If the DCCD is locked then the ABS system won't operate properly (it won't be able to remove braking from one wheel to check speed), the best thing to do is to wire in an over-ride so that when your braking, the thumbwheel input to the controller defaults to the fully open position, that way the diff won't interfere!
