Engine mounts...
#1
You've probably all seen the pic of my bug which I'm fitting an MY98 engine to.
As I'm making everything for this conversion... I have the choice as to whether to solid mount the engine and transmission or not.
It makes it a lot easier for me to mount the gearbox (Porsche 915 from 1985-ish 911 Carrera 2) if I don't use rubber mounts but the engine comes with stock mounts... the whole lot will be mounted to a rollcage.
Does anyone solid mount engines and transmissions in Impreza's?

Depends what you are going to do with the car.
Solid mounts means you will get a lot of virbration thru the car.
Solid mount is what a lot of drag racers use, but then they dont do a lot of street driving, especilay over speed humps etc.
Personaly I would use flexi mounts but very hard/uprated jobs.
