Default slipping clutch

If a clutch is slipping in 5th but ok in the other gears, is it just that the clutch is on it's way out or could it be something else or in addition to the clutch?

Slipping start in high gears since the load is higher on them...
It does sound like your clutch has had it. Better to replace sooner rather than later to make sure you don't kill your flywheel too. To avoid judder it is recomended to skim/replace the flywheel during the change. Hope this helps.

Cheers for that. Scooby i was going to look at has a "slipping clutch" so just wanted to know if that's all it was or if it could be anything else. I can work out how much to get knocked off the price

What if the car judders when you pull away in first gear, what would that signify?
