Sti Version 5 Type R Rear Hubs
Got a bit of a problem and kinda hoping you guys might be able to help out...
I got a Version 5 Gearbox with DCCD, rear diff, prop shaft and drive shafts thinking thats all i would need to fit to my 1995 WRX. The car went in today to get the bits fitted but it seems the rear drive shafts wont fit my hubs...
So the question is... what are my options? Diffrent diff? try and find Version 5 Type R hubs???
My other issue is that my car has ABS... i thought this would be fine as i have fitted a Neetronics DCCD controller which would deal with the braking issue but if i get the Type R hubs (if i can find a set) I dont think there is anyway of fitting the ABS sensors to them?!?!
Your thoughts please.....
Cheers in advance.

Bringing the thread back to life!
I have a similar question, is it possible to use the Type R hubs without ABS on my classic MY00 WRX that has got the 2 pot newage rearbrakes, if I change the discs to the ones from the Type R, as it got the bigger handbrakedrums (190mm instead of my 170mm)?
Or is it possible to use newage hubs (5x100PCD of course) that have the ABS?
Are the ABS sensors different between newage STIs and the facelift classics?
Will there be any other problem, like the fitting of the backingplates to the bigger hubs?
Please shed some light on this, it´s really urgent! ;(

Just done a similar dccd conversion on a STI4 using the type r clocks, diff, driveshafts & hubs & we scrapped the ABS. All working fine thanks to the enginetuner bunch
A very worthwhile upgrade.
