Hi all, im running a 95 WRX with a full SS system, filter and higher boost (280 - 300bhp), I am starting to experience what I think is clutch slippage - if i make a "high power" departure, the car sometimes accelerates as normal and then it revs its nuts off without accelerating, if i change gear and floor it it will do the same thing again, firstly, is this most likely the clutch?, secondly if i need a new clutch do i need an uprated clutch to handle the higher power?, if so what make? and lastly what should i be looking to pay for it fitted (I live in the midlands but can travel if the price is right!
Any help gratefully recieved - better start doing more over time me thinks!

The symptoms you describe sound do sound like clutch slippage.

IMHO it would be worth fitting an uprated clutch, but changing the clutch is a 5 hour job.

It's worth shopping around, but Graham Goode in Leicester list a range of clutches on their web site and are not too far from you.
