Is it possible to install a secondhand/used Prodrive ECU in my MY98? If so, where can I obtain one? Price?
I have a new DP (fabricated in Sweden, similar to the SS DP), stock mid section and a Magnex tailpipe, I'm also considering a Blitz induction kit.

They are said not to be as good on MY98 or before, in fact one magazine got a slower time or no performance improvement from a Prodrive car IIRC. Completely different story on MY99/00, although some say they notice little difference - I did.
Others say just use a boost controller and check fuelling and knock and you may get better results.
The ECUs tend to be snapped up pretty quickly. There is some confusion over whether keys need to be programmed (or the ECU programmed to accept them?) on all model years. Some say they do some don't. But I know I can remove my PPP ECU and put the OEM one in and go back again, and also that the dealer who fitted the PPP only had the one key on the day, but the other keys works.
My car is a MY00 Euro import if that makes any difference.

HM, I have two cars, one an MY97 (No PPP) the other an MY 98 PPP. They both have similar induction and Exhaust modifications. The PPP car is very noticibly quicker (given that I jump from one to the other on a day to day basis).
I also don't put much in store by Rolling Road estimates of Engine power/torque but just for the hell of it this is how they both read. (Same rollers, different day)
MY97 233bhp 222lb/ft
MY98PPP 254bhp 274lb/ft
