Default Wiring up manual control of an auto

Hey,

Got a hold of a 95 Impreza LX 2.2 for free... needed some work but I have it up and running now Pretty clean car really! One thing I was curious about, one of my Legacy's about the same year has an auto as well... and it has the manual valve body "style" electric control, but my Impreza doesn't have this. From what I can tell these tranny's are similiar, why didn't the Impreza come with this control, and if a guy wanted to wire a switch up to take control where and what wires etc do I need to tap into??

Thanks for helping! Looks like a really cool forum!
Have a couple of Soob's and really like them all... kinda want one for a project after I finish with my current mess of fun: TurboRunner

Thanks all,

Nope, as yours is a US model, and your talking on a UK forum, we all have no idea, besides auto Impreza's are as rare as hens teeth over here as we all like our 3 pedals!
