Help please
Got a MY98 Turbo which has had a new engine some 30k miles ago, car in total has done about 110k miles
Just took it out, and some way down the road changed into second gear and apart from changing into 2nd successfully i also got an 'orrible clicking noise - there was drive in 2nd gear though.
Noise is only in 2nd though - with at idle it being slightly noisy as well
Clearly something up with 2nd gear, i don't rag it too much at all from starts though - is this a gearbox rebuild for 2nd or clutch or lack of oil related
Thanks in advance
Neil

Just for info - this appears, accordingly to someone who clearly knows way more than me about this sorta stuff, to be the thrust bearings on the clutch rather than the gearbox - if so big phew ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
just in case it happens on anyone else's car thought it would be good provide an avenue of potential exploration

soz meant to update this - thanks for the reminder Mr_Wid
Nope it was'nt thrust bearings
from memory something to do with the mainshaft within the box - unknown to me it was a Prodrive box as well - oh well
currently my mechanic is sourcing a way forward
