I have a new age wrx with full scoobysport system, I use Optimax or SUL and also add millers or alike and have a K&N Airfilter.

Accleration still gizes me a buzz like sitting on a spin drier (err so I have heard) but the mid range is still not what I expected it to be, had a bit of a tussle with the last shape M3 the other day, nothing between it until hitting 3rd and from then on it just kept on edging away and I bottled it b4 I ended up as bubbas man bitch on H wing.

Can anyone suggest anything else I can do to imrpove the mid range, do I fit an induction kit, i know a Link ECU is an option but it is bloody expensive and the marketing info says that it is for someone who really understands the ecu and all the functions of, to be honest I am not that way Inclines, I love driving it, know the basics but my brain stops working after that.

Superchipping is an option but mention that word on here and all hell breaks loose, so I dont think i will bother with that.

Any suggestions please.

Rob

Put standard exhaust back on and get PPP fitted. Then replace full Scooby Sport system, add de cat up pipe and enjoy !

Should be good for 270 + bhp.

It is an expensive option but the PPP is simple and effective.

Cheers

Nathan..

Not saying it is necessarily the right option for you but look at some of the Dawes threads and consider it or an EBC. It only costs £26 and if you check out your car with a boost gauge and select monitor could give you way more than PPP. I know - my car has a PPP and decat exhaust and a boost controller makes a world of difference on top (MY00). I don't struggle with the M3 or 911 now - maybe they go better if you rev the nuts off them, but I get 18PSI by 2500rpm, and in gears times are better low/mid and similar at the top end. It is all about midrange torque and low weight.
