Hiya Hippo
Basicaly, these are relativley easy to fit, once you get under the car (would recommend using a pit or large ramp) it is fairly obvious what needs to be undone and removed.
One point I would make would be to be very carefull when removing the downpipe from the turbo, soak the nuts in WD40 the night before. A broken turbo stud can be a bloody nightmare!
It will prob take a hour or so to do with help, then you will be well away with a fantastic sound
Hope this helps, have fun!

Hippo, you're not far from ScoobySport so why not let them do it? It's a while-you-wait job. Easy when you know how, but you've got to take the intercooler and other stuff off to get at the down-pipe.

Having fitted a down pipe myself , the best advice is to get scoobysport to do it . The first time it took me 2 days as the nuts on the underside were seized, then they rounded off .

Hi Pete, when did you get a scooby then?
Its an easy job if you can get access to ramps, or like me just use axle stands and get a bad back afterwards. The only really tricky bit is the downpipe - turbo end, I soaked the studs in WD40 and then used a breaker bar to get them off. You will be fine unless you round the nuts or break a stud. The lamda sensor can be a little tricky too as its very easy to strip the thread on it, other wise its incredibly simple - I managed the whole lot in a few hours - I guess you won't have any problems.
BATMAIL or Buzzez if you have any problems

just added a full scoobysport system to my MY01, and would definitely agree that this should be a job for the experts.
The end results are excellent, but if you like the look of your hands as they are, don't try to get the heatshield off wihout removing the intercooler (as we did- sorry TKH-i know you're listening- YOU did). also- be careful with the gaskets- you may be able to re-use if not too worn.

Hi Happy,
When Scoobysport fitted mine (MY97 UK) they also needed to cut the heat shield a little to accommodate the new downpipe.
[Edited for dodgy spelling]
Cheers
