Hello Everybody,
My car MY00 with 8000 miles on the clock has a noisy drive belt, (alternator, airco, pully belt), I could not call it a whine type noise, it's hard to explain the sound, but it goes away for the whole day when I spray WD40. Next morning the same thing, especially now with the cold weather. It's more of a hitting type of noise, that sounds a bit like a lifter noise, not your usual squeal, loose type noise you hear regularly from cars that have lose belts.
I would not think the belt needs replacing after the low mileage I have. It stops with the WD40. What do you think it needs?
Cheers,
Wrexy.
