Question

Just put the Scooby Mania downpipe and centre section on my P1... The downpipe had an extra threaded hole at the turbo end for an exhaust temperature sensor... Which I filled with a spare sparkplug!

Now the question - why would you want to know the exhaust gas temperature after the turbo? Is it worth getting the sensors and gauge??

Cheers...

Cool

With air fuel ratio and knock link it can indicate if you are running lean.

If you are heavily tuned and running higher boost can be useful.

Other useful info to know is ignition advance, fuel injector duty cycle and charge temperature.

They all go together in the mind of someone cleverer than myself to tell you if your engine will blow up, some giving more warning than others
