Hi all

Yesterday, when reversing at work, the car made a horrible low tone grinding / rattling noise when i enguaged the clutch. if i took the clutch way from the bite (push pedal down) then it went away, seemed to change with bite pressure and revs - didnt matter if car was stationary or not.

Did it again when i left to for for lunch yesterday when i left the car park and reversed to see if i could hear it again.

Didnt do the noise in forward gears - i think. Tho I have noticed a droning noise - doesnt change much when doing 30mph or 60mph.

Maybe non-related - but maybe useful info...
When I enguage clutch up to the bite... not slamming it or anything, but bring it into the clutch more than a gently gently approach, gives a loud band like when taking up the slack.. but is a clanging sound... doesnt do it when i really really baby the clutch (like trying to start off on an uphill icy road with no wheel sping).

I had the clutch replaced under warrenty last june.

Car judders more now than used to.

Anyone got any ideas?
Car is in for service in 2 weeks, so would point them in right direction if i could...

Car is a MY99 Uk Turbo 4 door.

Cheers
Phil
