You'll be fine mate - just leave the drag starts to the likes of Andy Forrest and Journo's - at the end of the day Journos dont have to pay for clutches or worse - knackered gearboxes.
Thats what happened to mine, clutch held out unfortunately after a few starts, my gearbox gave out and i had to have a rebuild, cost me a few quid.
That will teach me

Can happen sometimes. Especially if on stock clutch and running with a few more horses.
If after its cooled it behaves as before, just chalk it up as a lesson learnt and not let it slip so much next time...or launch at slightly lower revs. (although more slip gives the gearbox an easier time...and clutches are cheaper than gearboxes )
A good stock clutch on a STOCK car will be able to bite fully if you get it on full boost in 3rd at (approx 3000+rpm), and quickly jab the clutch pedal in and straight back out again....the clutch should slip momentarily before biting again, if it slips but takes a while, no biggy but its not got much left (or you've been tellling porkies about your BHP ).
If it slips massively its not going to last for many more launches, but will probably stand up to general communting for quite some time though, so take it as a heads up that the clutch will need doing some time soon (depedning on how you drive).
Bear in mind, the above test carried out on a modded car will cause more slip - simply due to the increased power the clutch has to cope with. It should still bite ok, but its expected to slip a little more.

very expensive smell that
In my experience of clutches, once it has slipped on a launch its gonna need changing soon, lets face it you said you have launched it several times before. Just be gratefull it was the clutch to give rather than a cog

Std clutch....
Mike Wood at Prodrive
Told me that slipping it will kill it...
A proper full-on launch is better (for the clutch) !!!
And STI clutch can handle 400 bhp....
Dunx
P.S. Smelly for a bit, but too cowardly to do it often....
